Product Description
Add a classic firefighting figure to your HO, S, and O scale scenes with this highly detailed firefighter from the 1910s–1940s era. Standing with a fire hose nozzle held securely in both hands, the figure is posed as if preparing to open the line, reposition the hose, or await the order to begin suppression. He wears a full period firefighting uniform complete with protective coat, boots, belt, and a highly detailed traditional fire helmet. Ideal for fire scenes, station yards, industrial districts, downtown streets, railroad facilities, warehouses, and residential neighborhoods, this figure works naturally alongside fire engines, hydrants, hose lines, and other emergency-response details.

History
During the early 20th century, hose crews formed the backbone of structural firefighting. Firefighters worked together to stretch heavy canvas hose from hydrants or pumpers, position the line, and control brass or metal nozzles capable of delivering powerful streams of water. From the 1910s through the 1940s, improvements in municipal water systems, motorized fire apparatus, and pumping equipment made hose operations faster and more effective, but the work still demanded strength, coordination, and careful communication among the crew. The firefighter holding the nozzle became one of the most recognizable roles at any fire scene and remains central to firefighting today.
